Cub Scouts is a youth program that focuses on team and skill building while also encouraging morality and service to the community, all within a non-competitive setting. In short, you work as a team, but there are no winners or losers, just learning and helping your scout grow into a good person.
A Pack is what we call the scouting unit as a whole. Dens are smaller groups that are usually split by grade level.
Cub Scouts serve children who are at least 5 years old and are equivalent to kindergarten to 5th grade age.
Throughout the year, your scout will work with their den to complete adventures (like badges) that help them not only learn physical skills such as building, physical fitness, teamwork, etc... but also have them start to learn about the world around them, such as the importance of family traditions, respecting others' traditions, citizenship, and personal safety. In addition, we also align all of our extra activities to our Scout Oath and Scout Law. This can look like Field Trips, Camping, and Service Projects
OATH
"On my honor, I will do my best
to do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
to help other people at all times;
to keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight"
